Dear customers,
As of January 1, 2020, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires sulphur content in fuel used for international shipping to be limited to 0.5% worldwide, compared to the current standard of 3,5%, to minimize emissions of sulphur oxides from ships (in addition to the 0.1% Sulphur limit in the Emission Control Areas ECA zones).

We support this new rule that will reduce the environmental footprint of shipping activity.

As such, we will implement from January 1, 2020 a Very Low Sulphur Surcharge (VLSS) applicable to all types of shipments: containers, pallets, roro, breakbulk.

As of 01/01/2020, the amounts of the VLSS, revisable each month, will be as follow:

The VLSS will be calculated monthly using the price difference between VLSFO (average of the month m-2) and HSFO of October 2019 (average of the last 6 months), if this difference is greater than $ 25.

We thank you for your good support and remain at your disposal,
